Where We Are

We operate in Gloucestershire. We have a site at Westley Woods on Westley Farm where we host holiday sessions, training and professional development groups for adults. We have a large permanent A-Frame shelter with green woodworking area and beautiful woodland to explore.

We use Westonbirt Arboretum for Forest School Leader training for our early spring starting course.  This has some indoor classroom access and a fantastic space at the community shelter area for practical work.

Both sites are within the Cotswold Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty, and are easily accessible from Stroud, Dursley, Tetbury, Gloucester, Cheltenham and Cirencester. Both sites are set in beautiful woodlands, are easy to get to by car.

We also offer on-site sessions in schools.  Please contact us to find out how we can help meet your school's needs.

Fireside at Westley Farm, Cowcombe Hill,  GL68HP  Near Chalford.

Set in ancient woodland at Westley Farm, there is a really special feeling to this site and it offers something more than just being in the woods.  There we have access to a large bespoke A-frame shelter which we have a green woodwork area, a fire circle, we can shelter from the worst of the weather and to use as our base camp.  From here we can explore the woodlands, play freely and be inspired by nature to get creative.

We always meet up in the Glider Cafe layby where you can park to drop children off.  We then walk down, the track through the farm, which offers a lovely transition from outside life to Forest School.  .

Westonbirt,  The National Arboretum, Forestry England GL8 8QS

Westonbirt, The National Arboretum is an arboretum in Gloucestershire, England, about 3 miles (5 km) southwest of the town of Tetbury. Managed by Forestry England, it is perhaps the most important and widely known arboretum in the United Kingdom.

Planted in the heyday of Victorian plant hunting in the mid-19th century as part of the Westonbirt House estate, the arboretum forms part of a site which is listed Grade I on the Register of Historic Parks and Gardens of special historic interest.

There we have use of the classroom area and community shelter.
