Bad Weather?

At Into The Green, we aim to build resilience and encourage the idea that, “there is no such thing as bad weather; just unsuitable clothing”.  We do however recognise that this does not apply in every weather condition. The main exception to this idea is the case of strong winds. If it is possible, we can move out of our usual base camp area so that we can carry out activities away from trees that could pose a safety risk at times of high winds.

When the weather is wet, we will put up a shelter so that participants have shelter available from the start of the session so they don't start the session by getting wet.   In cold conditions we will focus on activities and tasks that will keep the participants warm: games that get children moving or activities around the fire.
